My mom is a client of Arcturus Hospice. She is 95 and has advanced dementia, among other ailments that afflict one of her age. What I liked best about Arcturus is their communication with the family. Their care and affection for my mom is apparent among all of her caretakers, from the CNA to the minister that comes to see her. And I get updates from all of them, telling me about her care, her status, and asking me if I have any questions or concerns that they could address. Even though she is wheelchair bound, they still see her as a special person who needs a little help. In addition to the regular nursing care they provide, their volunteers come weekly and do her nails, they have music therapy, they come and help with parties or activities that the assisted living home is having. For me, they go beyond just hospice care and really spend quality time with my mom. Arcturus provides extended care that I cannot provide for her, which is just what we want for her in her last stage of life; to still feel loved and that she still matters. Before I contacted Arcturus, I did my homework and contacted others whose family members were also under their care. I did not get any negative feedback. And I am very pleased with the choice of Arcturus Hospice. I highly recommend them.
